Welcome to the home of Friends of HaiTi!!
Our Mission is to work in partnership with the people of Haiti through programs, construction and education that will empower them to improve the quality of life within their culture.
The Friends of HaiTi is a volunteer organization that strives to improve life for the Haitian people without changing their culture. Clean water, education for all children, access to Medical Care and the Community of Hope, which provides adequate housing, are the focuses of our work. Child Sponsorship provides a quality education for a child, including a uniform, one hot meal a day and good Christian role models.

The board members of the Friends of HaiTi would like to thank all of the wonderful people who helped make our first annual Friends of HaiTi Gala such a success. We hope that the attendees enjoyed the evening as much as we did. Aside from the goal of raising funds to support the mission, our lives are enriched by working together for a mission that has always proved to be an opportunity for grace given to us by a loving God. We are grateful to be His hands in this effort.
Diners enjoyed a special menu, created by Chef Jason of Atria’s Restaurant, prepared and served by a staff of volunteers under his guidance in a room decorated with an eclectic collection of automotive memorabilia. Our thanks go to Jason for the cuisine and to Tom Robinson for sharing his amazing collection.
Nora Paul of Painting with Light Photography was on hand to record the event, both posed and candid shots were taken. Copies can be seen and purchased from her website -www.paintingwithlightphotography.net. Proceeds will go to the Friends of HaiTi.
Our gratitude to the musicians who lent their talent to the evening: Calypso Steel Drum music by Dan Meunier, piano selections by David Zimmerman and a mix of classical and modern songs by soprano Daniella Pasquini. Thanks also to Rick Baker for tuning the piano!
We especially acknowledge: Donna Franco for her remarkable work on the invitations and the program for the evening; Ruth Lipinski for coordinating the reservations; Liz Erbrecht for herding the volunteers; Linda Rall for chairing the silent auction and of course our fearless leader and the brains behind the event, Dale Short.
Our thanks to the volunteers who cleaned, prepped, cooked, served and again cleaned for the event:
